The Bianchi Rekord 845 of 1985 matched a superb double-butted chrome-moly ‘Bianchi Special’ steel frame from Columbus with Shimano’s newly-launched 105 “Golden Arrow” groupset to create a strong, beautiful and fast machine that has become another Bianchi classic.
Amazingly, this particular bike sat in storage for many years and has never been ridden on the road. The unusual red paint and decals are all factory-original and it is almost unmarked. Saddle, Selcor stem, ITM bars, brake levers, hoods and cables are as new, as is the black perforated bar tape. The chainrings, chain and derailleurs show no signs of use and the pedals have their original toeclips and black webbing straps.
This is a stylish, unusual and collectable Bianchi – ideal for a classic Eroica-type event or just riding for fun on sunny days.
